How ScriptLife handles copyright

ScriptLife allows users to upload scripts and generate AI voice performances from them. Users are responsible for ensuring they have the right to use any script they submit. We respond to valid copyright takedown notices and maintain a repeat-infringer policy.

Submitting a takedown notice

If you believe content on ScriptLife infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice. A valid notice should include:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed
  2. Identification of the material on ScriptLife you believe is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (such as a share link or script description)
  3. Your contact information (name, address, email, and telephone number)
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf
  6. Your physical or electronic signature

Where to send a notice

Counternotice

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counternotice. A valid counternotice should include:

  1. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
  2. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  3. Your name, address, and telephone number
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which Urban Folklore Ltd may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice
  5. Your physical or electronic signature

Upon receiving a valid counternotice, we will forward it to the original complainant and may restore the removed material after the statutory waiting period unless the complainant files a court action.

What happens after a notice

When we receive a valid takedown notice, we will:

  • Disable access to the identified content promptly
  • Notify the account holder that content has been removed
  • Provide the account holder with information about submitting a counternotice if they believe the removal was in error

Repeat-infringer policy

ScriptLife maintains a repeat-infringer policy. Accounts that are the subject of multiple valid copyright complaints may be suspended or permanently terminated. We apply this policy consistently regardless of account type or beta status.
